Red for Remembrance

Welcome to Play for Soldiers! My name is Hunter, and I am the creator of this blog and of "Play for Soldiers", a fundraiser for our fantastic men and women in the armed forces.

I personally am deeply indebted to the United States Military. I have a family member in the Marine Corps and my Grandfather was an N.C.O. in the Army during World War II. It is an undeniable fact that in the last 200 years, my family and yours has been either directly or indirectly protected or saved by the U.S. Armed Forces.

In honor of the troops here and gone, I started a group called "Support the Troops" on Bungie.net. This group is small, but is growing slowly. The main cause of this group is called "Play for Soldiers". The first event is taking place on Friday, September 11th. The event is called "Red for Remembrance". Read on to learn how you can contribute to this event and to help out military personnel across the globe.

On this date, on Halo 3, I would like everyone to wear red armor primary colors, with white secondary on any armor variant. Wear black primary with your Mjolnir Helmet emblem with black secondary on the swords.

Surf matchmaking, play custom games with this armor and emblem, just have fun. Then, send me a message at playfortroops@gmail.com with a link to each of the game histories that you have played. For each game over 5 minutes, I and my sponsors will contribute 25 cents, plus 10 cents for each player with the Play for Soldiers armor and emblem on. I will then contribute the proceeds to AnySoldier.com, a great website dedicated to sending care packages to active military personnel. Anyone who would like to donate more can simply donate via check or Paypal to AnySoldier.

Extra donations, even just $1, will help! The website is "AnySoldier.com", please donate anything you can!

Please join up, my newfound readers. Please help me get the word out by linking this page or telling your friends the scoop. If you have any questions, e-mail me or message me on this site. Thank you!
